iMac, available worldwide in August for $1299, includes a Pentium-toasting 233MHz PowerPC G3 processor, 32MB SDRAM, 4GB hard disk drive, 24x CD-ROM drive, built-in 56K modem, 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet, built-in 12Mbps Universal SerialBus ports, Mac OS 8.1 and a collection of useful software. It has an exceptionally crisp 15-inch monitor built into its striking, see-through teal case.
The whole system, with its gorgeous hi-res display and stereo speakers,comes in one ready-to-go package. Instead of a thick installation manual,all you need is this installation paragraph:
